The Next Generation of All-Electric Speed Boats – RIB Unlimited and EPTechnologies Unite
Sønderborg/Stockholm, September 2025 – Two pioneers in marine innovation, EPTechnologies and RIB Unlimited, proudly announce the premiere of the all-electric RIB Unlimited 8H, powered by the EPTechnologies Falcon 130 kW outboard and an advanced 90 kWh battery pack.
The joint project sets a new benchmark in electric high-speed monohulls. Both companies have invested heavily in weight reduction — in the hull construction, construction material selection and propulsion system.
The result is a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) that delivers on speed, range, and energy efficiency.
The Falcon 130 kW outboard was developed exclusively for electric propulsion. It features a 360° rotating lower unit for outstanding handling and maneuverability. This compact, lightweight design minimises drag, improves efficiency, and optimises onboard space. On the water, it combines agility with raw electric power to deliver a game-changing driving experience.
The RIB Unlimited 8H builds on decades of hydrodynamic expertise and racing heritage. Its vacuum-infused racing hull combined with ultralight construction through advanced lamination techniques, provides the ideal foundation for electrification. With the use of recycled plastics, the environmental footprint has been further reduced. The target cruising speed is around 25 knots.
