BAVARIA YACHTS Sets Sail Toward Sustainability with EPTechnologies’ Electric & Hybrid Drives
BAVARIA YACHTS is taking a major step forward in sustainable sailing. From this summer, the popular BAVARIA C38e, C42e, and C46e models will be available with state-of-the-art electric or hybrid propulsion, powered by cutting-edge technology from innovator EPTechnologies.
The dream of Bavaria’s customers quiet sailing will be reality with the new C38e, C42e, and C46e models equipped with EPTechnologies’ alternative drive systems. All core performance and comfort features of the classic BAVARIA C-Line remain—but now, with a much smaller environmental footprint.
Propulsion for these new models comes via an efficient saildrive connected to a powerful electric motor—delivering 25kW for the C38e and C42e, and 37kW for the C46e.
At the heart of the system is the innovative Multibox, managing everything from battery charging to seamless system operation.
Standard battery capacity for the C38e and C42e is 18.2 kWh (expandable with extra packs), enabling more than 50 nautical miles on pure electric power.
The larger C46e comes equipped with two battery packs as standard, putting serious range at sailors’ fingertips.
For those who venture further, an optional generator turns the system into a full hybrid solution—offering up to 576 nautical miles of range on the C38e at 5.5 knots.
